Day 5 – 1/5/10
Waiting in a dark dr’s office (the dr was nice enough to turn out the lights since my migraine was causing light sensitivity) for my Toradol & Phenergan shots.

Several friends are doing a 365 days of photos in 2010 & I am joining them in the challenge. I’ll post here, to my Facebook, & to my Picasa web album.

As most of you know, Russ & I are currently pursing our Master of Divinity degrees at Logsdon Seminary in Abilene, TX. Back in March, I had put in my application for a Clinical Pastoral Education residency program in Lubbock, TX. I was scheduled for my admittance interview right after the Spring semester was over. However, because of lack of organization on the part of the program I applied to, my interview has now been rescheduled 5 different times. Russ & I are seriously praying about whether this is God closing the door for me to do my residency at this location. We have begun looking at other locations where I could do my residency because we do believe that God is still calling me to chaplaincy as a ministry and career. No one location is drawing us in right now, so we continue to pray for God’s guidance. We would ask that you would pray with us and for us about this situation. Please also pray that I will be able to add another course this fall. I’m already taking a huge load of classes, but because of the entrance requirements of some of the locations we are looking at for my residency, I need to pursue completing my M.Div. before I begin my residency versus utilizing my residency for credit towards completing my degree. It will make for an insane amount of work for me over the next 10 to 11 months, but this is the only solution we see to this matter. Most of yall know how stress affects me with my migraines and Bell’s Palsy, so I would ask also for prayer that I will be able to handle this increased workload and still be a good wife and mom as well as a grace-filled woman to all those around me. Thanks in advance for your prayers!

ivJust got a letter in the mail that my $1500 hospital bill (we don’t have health insurance) from when I went in December because of my worst and longest migraine ever and had to have an IV cocktail was completely written off and we don’t have to pay a penny of it! Praise God!

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who is praying for me right now about the migraine/Bell’s Palsy stuff. I’m feeling a bit better this morning, but still not up to par. Please continue to lift me up in your prayers! Thanks!

Second, my blog entry for today involves some participation from whoever is reading this. So, if you read this, please comment. LOL!

So, are you one of those people who give names to inanimate objects? You know what I mean. Like the person who has a Ford Mustang named Sally. LOL! So, (I just realized that I use the word so alot!), anyway, I’ve been thinking of the 3 most important inanimate objects in my life. I’m sure you know what they are. My laptop, my cell phone, and our SUV. No surprises there, right?

Well, I’ve decided since these three items are so important in my life, that they need names. So, (there that word is again!) I need help with names. Here are pictures of the afore mentioned important objects so you can get a good view of them since that might help with the naming process.

First up, my beautiful new (to me) Palm Treo 700p (and you shouldn’t be surprised that it has a pink case) -

Second up, my lovely laptop (it wasn’t girly enough, so I had to add stickers to it) :) -

And last, but not least, is our 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe (it’s maroon in color and of course has Gilmore Girls bumper stickers on the back window) -

So there we go, I’m open to suggestions for names for these three beautiful objects. Put on your thinking caps and comment away. LOL!

Not a pretty picture :( Please pray for me. I’m in severe pain right now and I still have to keep on keeping on because my plate is so full right now.
