Another Menu Plan Monday for yall today. Last week’s recipes went over pretty well and I’m trying a few more new recipes this week (all crockpot). Hopefully Russ and Damaris will like them.
Sunday – we had a meeting at church & were just going to grab a snack afterwards, but one of the couples brought brisket sandwiches so we were all stuffed by the time we got home
Monday – will start Crockpot Enchiladas around noon so they will be done by the time I get home from yoga
Other meals to chose from for the rest of the week:
Cheesy Enchilada Hamburger Helper (didn’t eat last week)
Nachos (didn’t eat last week)
Crockpot Tator Tot Casserole
Crockpot Ham & Potatoes Au Gratin
Crockpot Mac & Cheese (I’ll add cut up hot dogs after the mac & cheese is done)
Baked Potatoes
I’m using the crockpot we got as a wedding gift almost 11 years ago. I know there have been some advances in them since then including being able to set the time to cook, etc. Can anyone recommend a good newer crockpot that won’t break my budget???
We’ll see how these go over. If you want to join in on Menu Plan Monday, go here.

My suggestion would be to just keep using the crock pot you are using until it doesn’t work anymore. One of the stupidest decisions I ever made was getting rid of my crockpot that we got for our wedding (12 years ago) to trade it in for a “fancy” model. It is *not* reliable, doesn’t cooked even and my list of complaints grows every time I use it (my latest is that the crock is starting to crack from nothing more than just normal use). My suggestion to you would be to go pick up a $5 lamp timer that will turn on at a certain time to use with it (I’m assuming that you only have three setting with a knob – off, medium and high). That would give you the timer ability and definitely not break the bank.
I can’t wait to get back to the States so I can join you on menu planning Monday! Hey, would you consider adding a link showing all the recipes that are your faves?
